Well, its been some 10 days now and I’ve not got done as much as I’d like too. I have managed at least to get some of my finances sorted out as well as send off the stuff to Tokyo that they wanted. I’ve still to find out about wither my visa is getting sorted out all at their end or what is going on (which is kinda my number one priority at the moment)

Anyway, I still need to:

• start packing
• arrange flights and co-ordinating things with the other guy who has the job
• start learning basic japanese
• look at costs for a new laptop
• sell off my PC
• read up on etiquette and customs
• sort out what I am, and am not, taking

I’m telling you, my life has become one made up of lists… no really it has, its unlike me to be anything like organised. I now fear a horrible reality backlash as the universe discovers that I am trying to be organised.

In other news… actually there is not much else going on with me at the moment that does not have some connection with me leaving. Its a weird feeling getting all this ready, its only a year, and yet it is a whole year, maybe longer. Its a new experience, new fears, new hopes, new problems… gonna be quite a ride. To be honest though I’m trying not to think too much about the enormity of what I am getting into, it helps keep me sane… if only just.
