Heating and Flights

Hello people… I’ve been busy this week helping with the heating system at Gorgie Salvation Army and while I am no fan of manual labour (it was hard work… even though I did comparatively little… I couldn’t exactly fit underneath the floors to lay pipes now could I?) or DIY it was a fun time and I got to do manly things, including the use of power tools. Now… I am a Man! :)

Apart from that I now have just over a week before I leave Edinburgh which is gonna be tough but even with all the current ups and downs of the job I still believe this is a good move for me. I have, at last, got my flight booked (not a cheap things, but thankfully they are supposed to be paying me all of it back) it’s a direct flight with BA on the 20th of August. I decided to go direct and with BA because I have only ever flown a couple of times before and they were all internal UK flights so I thought I had better go with what I know.

Not much else I am afraid… oh yeah, been down to Granton a couple of times this week (they were holding a sorta 24/7 kinda chilled thingy) on Wednesday it was to see the Wake N the Dead people, and then on Friday for no other reason than to just pop down. It was weird realising that I would not see the Grantonites or the Deadites (with a couple of exceptions) again for a year… guess I better get used to that feeling.
