Prophesy from Andrew Bale, my view…

I found this through Andrew Clark’s site, which I am sure some people will find shocking that I even read knowing my views on Primitive Salvationism et al. Shock number two comes when I say that I have to agree with the prophecy, of course you can guess there is something more to it than that.
Prophecies are a many faceted tool from the Lord, and they require interpretation and prayer to find their meaning (this is a biblical truth I believe taken from Paul’s teaching… I seem to recall, its late). It is this interpretation in which I probably differ from a number who may read this. Let me first state clearly that I do not believe that their views are necessarily incorrect, for many times two people have heard the same truth and been challenged in different ways, I just have been given a different (I believe) vision from these words than what I perceive others will.
I see these words as a clarion call that we have lost the vision given to Booth… and by that I mean the ORIGINAL vision… not some pseudo-military, not uniforms and flags of cloth, and doctrines (which incidentally I notice do not mention Christ’s resurrections… you’d think we’d have put that in there, but I digress), but rather the zeal of “whatever it takes, in whatever form it takes, to win souls for the kingdom”.
In this world we must grow and change to face the every changing face of the enemy. Yes in many ways his attacks are the same as they were over 100 years ago, but they have subetly shifted (and sometimes not so subetly). For those who seem keen on a military anaology take the gun of the victorian age, in many ways teh gun today is still the same but has changed to being even deadlier and even more effective. So in that way has teh enemies tactics changed.
As for us, we to must develop, to grow and change, Christ called us to change from glory to glory, not to remain the same as we did centuries ago, yet there is also a consistency, the consistency of holiness. Holiness does not mean uniforms, nor external symbology (is that a word?) and idols to which many have now perverted our flag to being. Yes, I just said that. The flag to many has become an idol, a false beacon in this world. For clarity, I am not saying the flag IS an idol, I am saying to some it has BECOME an idol.
So what am I saying in the 2am torrent of words, I am saying yes I add my amen to these words, but my amen is from what the Lord says to me through these words, and I personally, I don’t think some people will like what He said to me.
Hopefully what I have said makes sense, I should perhaps have waited until after I had sleep but I felt I had to write this or otherwise my sleep would not have been as sound.
Shalom.

Aye man, I kind of think that it is the doom of man to make idols out of anything we can. Particularly things that come out of revivals of the past. We create a mythology to get dewey eyed over and talk about the idealised ‘good old days’. Its so much easier to do this than to risk making something new for ourselves…
