Outside:Out – Youth Rally 2007, Glasgow

I am so tired right now… annoyingly not sleepy tired, drained would be a better way of putting it. Why? I have been helping out with the techie (mainly computer stuff) for the event highlighted in the headline of this here post. I arrived at 7am, help off load a vans worth of equipments, set it up, do the event, and then take it down again finishing at about 9.30pm… not exactly a walk in the park either.
As for the event it was very enjoyable, even from behind an AV desk. Electrolyte were very good and even although I was making sure the words of the songs came up I still managed to be blessed by the worship and even feel like I was part of it. Russell Rook was excellent in the evening, but I’m kinda biased as he has been one of my main spiritual guides in the last 10 years and I have much to thank him for.
The theme this year was on the good Samaritan and was presented very well considering the age range involved. Topics such a bullying, and human trafficking were brought up and boldly presented (particularly the human trafficking) refusing the hold back just because they were “youthâ€?… more on Human Trafficking at a later date.
However now, as I have said, I am drained. My head is spinning confused and probably in the right kind of mind for poetry
