Too hot to handle!

I think my laptop might be running just a wee bit hot…
Not really had much luck with this laptop, first the company forgot to ship the extra battery and also forgot to install the wireless card (which they shipped to me to install, they did ask if I was capable first). The CD draws façade kept falling off until I “fixed” it (as in broke it so it stays on). During this their customer support was, well, very poor, although with my most recently adventure (with one of my RAM chips blowing up) they were very good and helpful. Oh, and I think my firewire may have gone, since I can’y update my iPod through it but I can through USB… although it may just be my firewire adapter thats gone…
Anyway, a couple of days ago when playing WoW the machine switched off suddenly. I felt the base and it was scorching, so I downloaded a bit of software to see what temperature it was running it. What you see is about fifteen minutes of data… for a comparison the PC I built for Granton runs, on average, at 35 degrees. This is a tad worrying so I think I’m gonna have to shell out for a laptop cooling base.
EDIT: In some other news, I got accepted into the Joost Beta, which is kinda cool.

I’d say this is a problem with the laptop cooling system as its only just started happening. Check the fans are running, and phone it in as a waranty repair (assuming your still under warranty).

The computer has always run really hot, the base is usually really hot, but this was the first time it actually switched off. The fan (seems to be only one in the case, along with a large copper piece of metal) is working fine. I think my warranty may have expired as its just over a year since I ordered it, but not since I received it… guess I’ll phone them to check it out.
