Flat… erm… oh I can’t think of anything weird…
Filed under: Non-Imperative Intel
Well, a week today (Friday) I should be getting the keys to my new flat, it feels good to be moving back to Edinburgh at long last. However it has raised a bit of a problem, money… not really ahuge shock now is it
The blunt economics of it all is that just to keep the flat and pay its associated bills I need at least £600 a month, and considering the best I’ve done is around £415 and that contract is now ended so I will be looking for a full time job. I’ll still be keeping the business going doing what IT and print work I can. I think what grates the most is the loss of freedom that will happen, that I’ll be once again bound into the daily grind… oh well, everything comes with a price.
Speaking of price, my laptop is again having issues, something to do with the over heating and my graphics card… this is not what I need right now. Hopefully it’ll sort itself out.
Anyway, like I said I can’t wait to be back across, it should be good.
Oh, and while I remember… Barrhead, and its area, was voted the second best to live in the UK (BBC, Readers Digest), I quote from the Readers Digest, “children literally joined hands and danced into Carlibar Primary”, “Everybody’s so friendly”… Barrhead may be in the process of a much needed upgrade but it REALLY has its problems, massive gang problems, playtimes being cancelled for some years of children due to violence, alcohol/drug related violence on the streets, I could go into whats in the papers (and whats not) every week but you get the drift. There are reasons you can get a three bedroom house for under £100k here… very good reasons. Don’t get me wrong there are some very nice people here, people who care about the area, but I really think the article wore its rose tinted glasses, so to speak.
