July 2008 in Project365

Where the heck did July go? Anyone? My word, they say time goes by faster when you get older, which if true does not bode well . Anyway, been rather a good month for art, well, I managed to make some good stuff, so here goes:

• Ice Mage – A companion image to the Fire Mage manip I made a while back, again the original image was taken from iStockPhoto. The end result is ok, although trying to create ice was a pain (available as a print here)
• Dysphoric Malaise – Not the original image (here) but this one shows it better. I think the only painting I managed to get done this month… mainly as I ran out of canvas.
• Beloved – not so much for the image but the fact it was my first attempt at an art video
• The Brightest Day – another art video, but this time I really liked the image. Another companion piece, this time to “The Darkest Night”. (available as a print here)
• Portfolio – I liked the image and the whole portfolio looks quite good. I put it up on Lulu mainly so I could order prints to take and try and get into a gallery.
• Alien Sketch – from my first day at my parents for a wee break while they are away, I rather like the look (even if it is a rehash of older ideas)

So yeah, here’s to August… you never know what it will bring, I know I’ve got one wedding of a friend I haven’t seen in a good few years which should be good. At any rate, we shall see.
