Berlin Approaches…

Berlin Approaches…

This coming Sunday evening I will catch a train to London, then at a time in the morning reserved for coming home from a night out, myself and a number of other people, who I have never met, will board a plane to Berlin. Yup, next monday the Artists for Christ Berlin Mission starts… which is kinda cool. While there I’ll hopefully manage to grab some net access here and there to put up posts, update twitter etc, but no guarantees.

I’m still rather nervous about the whole thing, admittedly not as much as I was but the nerves remain. I’ve never felt comfortable around groups of new people, but I can overcome :) . This is my first mission that wasn’t a Salvation Army one in quite a few years, in fact even the ones I did years ago had alot of Salvation Army input. I don’t like street work (by which I mean talking to people like clipboard or placard people do), its something I don’t just feel uncomfortable doing its something I don’t think is a useful tool in many cases, but others do and thats cool, I just hope they accept where I come from. its going to be interesting to see these groups of different Christians from all over the place (including some from the USA, and some from around Europe) meeting up and getting to know each other and the differences in our outlook and beliefs while, hopefully, celebrating and concentrating on what unites us. It should be an interesting time, not an easy one, things that are good and worthwhile seldom are easy.

When I get back a week later (the mission is two weeks long) I’ll have a few days then its off to the Youth Rally in Birmingham, which I have to admit I am really looking forward to. It will be an expensive couple of weeks so I’m hoping that I’ll be able to sell some art/prints, both in Berlin and also at the Youth Rally, although that being said I am getting paid for Youth Rally… which is nice :) .

So yeah, anyway, if you are of a praying persuasion your prayers for Berlin, the team, etc, would be fantastic, as well as any for me, especially as I try and remain true to who I am in Christ and be who I believe He has called me to be in this situation.

Anyway, laters peeps
